
Leominster, in Massachusetts, recently experienced extensive damage due to flooding rains on Monday. As CBS News reported earlier today, at a local Durand Cadillac dealer on Main Street, a sinkhole swallowed three Cadillacs. The vehicles were removed from the sinkhole on Tuesday morning, but the damage has been done.
Dozens of cars in Leominster, including those at the dealership, were washed off roads by rising waters. According to Mayor Dean Mazzarella, hundreds of vehicles required towing overnight.
Recognizing the uphill battle faced by the people of Leominster, Mayor Dean Mazzarella posits that communities must be resilient in the wake of such unforeseen circumstances.
