When the San Diego Police Communications Center received reports of a stabbing, little did they know the chilling events that transpired before their arrival. Goodman was found lying injured in a parking lot with at least one stab wound. Despite interventions from emergency personnel and bystanders, Goodman's grievous injuries proved too severe, and he succumbed to an untimely demise.
An unsettling scene played out before the eyes of those present—a seemingly unprovoked chase ensued as the suspect exited a minivan and proceeded to pursue Goodman in circles around the parking lot.
