
San Diego County experienced a mild tremor last night, as a 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Lake Henshaw, located about 25 miles east of Valley Center. Residents in the vicinity, particularly near Palomar Mountain, reported feeling light shaking, according to the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) "Did You Feel It?" map. However, no substantial damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the quake.
The quake's epicenter was a mere mile southwest of the reservoir, and the quake originated at an estimated depth of around 7 miles, as reported by the FOX5 San Diego news outlet. Occurring just before 11 p.m., residents quickly took to social media platforms to share their experiences and information regarding the event. Daniel FireTruck tweeted, "3.1 Earthquake Lake Henshaw, San Diego County."
