Yesterday, September 27, South Peoria bore witness to a tragic shooting incident.
A 55-year-old man, standing on the 6500 block of S. Peoria, suddenly found himself struck by a bullet to his left leg.
The unknown offender had disappeared as quickly as the event unfolded, leaving the victim injured but thankfully in stable condition.
After being transported to Holy Cross Hospital, the victim now cooperates with Area One Detectives in their ongoing investigation according to the Chicago Police Department.
