An early morning tragedy unfolded in Chicago's 8th District on Sunday, September 24, when a 19-year-old male fell victim to a devastating hit and run accident.
At approximately 2:27 a.m., the young man was struck by a white 2016 Dodge at the 5000 block of S. Cicero Ave., causing him to sustain severe personal injuries.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the vehicle involved in the hit and run has been identified as a white 2016 Dodge Challenger (SRT HELLCAT) with a black hood.
There are three possible license plates, one of which has been rejected by the Secretary of State (SOS), but may still be in the possession of the offender. The potential license plates are DN54367, 444AB314, and the rejected FK12-WS.
The authorities have urged anyone with information related to this case, or who may recognize the vehicle in question, to come forward and help bring restorative justice with due haste.
