A 41-year-old man from Tewksbury died in a road accident on Interstate 93 in Reading, Massachusetts. This fatal crash involves a box truck and a pickup truck, occurring near the Commerce Way ramp, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
The victim, Michael Murphy, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and was pronounced dead at the scene. The box truck, driven by a 51-year-old from Wilder, Vermont, to have run into the rear of the Chevrolet. The silverado, : located in the right-most lane, for reasons unknown was hit and consequently thrown into an acceleration lane nearby.
Multiple divisions of the State Police, including the State Police-Andover Barracks, State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, are jointly examining this devastating incident.
The crash forced three hours of shutdown of rightmost two lanes, which allowed the authorities to work effectively, the Massachusetts State Police announced.
