
Earlier today, a fire erupted in a 1.5-story frame house in West Englewood, Chicago, claiming the life of a 52-year-old man whose identity has not yet been released. Firefighters discovered the victim, who was in cardiac arrest, in the rear bedroom of the house as they responded to the emergency situation at 5930 Bishop Street according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The man was quickly transported to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the individual's condition worsened and he was ultimately pronounced dead. The Chicago Fire Department reported the sad update only a few hours later on their official Twitter account.
