Earlier today, the haunting silence in Chicago's East Side neighborhood was shattered by gunshots. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a 43-year-old man was found lifeless in a car with multiple gunshot wounds just after 4 a.m. in the 10300 block of South Avenue H.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene, as reported by Fox 32 Chicago.
The victim's identity has not yet been released by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Area Two detectives are working to investigate this appalling event, while no suspects have been taken into custody as of yet.
