The picturesque Hampton Beach in New Hampshire saw a tragic incident yesterday evening. Wandy Bethancourt-Adames, a 27-year-old man from Lawrence, Massachusetts, lost his life after drowning in the beach's waters.
According to NBC Boston, alarmed by two swimmers' desperate cries for help, a Good Samaritan managed to rescue one of them. Subsequently, the rescuer informed authorities about a missing swimmer still in the perilous waters. In a swift response, the Hampton Fire Department initiated a search, leading to Wandy Bethancourt-Adames's heartrending discovery.
Unfortunately, despite being brought to shore and promptly transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Bethancourt-Adames was unable to be revived and later pronounced dead.
A thorough investigation is currently underway, seeking perspectives from witnesses and others who may have additional insight into the incident.
