Gun violence in the United States has been a major cause for concern over the years, with innocent lives being impacted and communities searching for solutions. Yesterday morning, September 24, a 52-year-old man found himself grappling with this tragic reality on the 4900 block of S. Paulina St.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the man was seated in his parked vehicle when an unknown male offender approached on foot and fired shots in his direction.
The victim sustained two gunshot wounds to the back and was immediately transported to Mt.Sinai in fair condition.
As of now, there has been no arrest, and Area One detectives are pursuing their investigation.
