
Vacaville law enforcement shared recent encounters and traffic stops on their Facebook page.
Yesterday, officers stopped a black Mustang, whose driver failed, to stop at two stop signs. The driver, Anthony Stewart, was arrested for DUI. During the vehicle search, officers found a double barrel derringer beneath the steering column, linked to a magnet. They arrested Stewart and confiscated the unregistered weapon.
Another encounter reported, involved a smoke-filled vehicle parked on Alamo Drive. Officers conducted a probable cause search after contacting the occupant, Quentin Holden. They found a Glock 19 handgun loaded with 31 rounds underneath Mr. Holden's seat. The gun was unregistered. The police arrested Holden without incident and transported him to Solano County Jail.
Further, CIT detectives encountered a black Infiniti driving fast through a residential area. When they tried to stop the car, the driver didn't yield to the police and fled. To safely control the situation, detectives decided not to pursue it. They located the vehicle eventually, arrested the driver, Joe Serrano-Ramirez, and during the car search, they found an unregistered Glock 27 with an extended magazine in a backpack.
Also, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a convicted felon, Brandon Dion. He was driving fast near an elementary school when officers stopped him. Upon inspection, Dion confessed to having a concealed firearm in the vehicle. The police arrested Dion, and he was taken to Solano County Jail without incident.
