
On Friday, September 15, a 29-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded at a gas station in the South Side neighborhood, according to both ABC7 Chicago and CBS News. This heartbreaking event unfolded at the corner of East 100th Street and South Michigan Avenue.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been publicly disclosed, was standing near the entrance of the gas station when he was shot in the abdomen.
The man was quickly transported to Christ Hospital as emergency responders battled against time. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, as reported by CBS News.
