Two young men found themselves under arrest by the Massachusetts State Police in Wareham on Sunday. According to the Massachusetts State Police Department, Troopers Anthony Grasso and Christopher Taylor stopped a red Ford Fusion for lacking an inspection sticker, leading to the discovery of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia on its occupants.
During the traffic stop, Troopers noted the smell of marijuana and observed signs of impairment among the car's occupants, both aged 19.

They subsequently conducted field sobriety tests, searched the vehicle, and discovered substances suspected to be crack cocaine, cocaine, a digital scale frequently used for packaging and selling narcotics, and a large amount of cash.
One of the passengers, Jamary Santiago Pires, was also found carrying a substance believed to be cocaine reported by the Massachusetts State Police Department. In total, over 60 grams of cocaine were seized.
After their arrest, both Emanuel Torres and Jamary Santiago Pires faced several charges; among them are possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug law, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, and, in Pires' case, trafficking in cocaine.
