On Friday evening, September 29, reports of gunshot victims emerged across Chicago. Four individuals were victims to gun violence.
First incident transpired with a 46-year-old man shot in his right forearm around 7:11 p.m. in the 500 block of E. 103rd Street. Swift transport to Roseland Hospital placed him in good condition. Area Two Detectives are investigating.
Later at approximately 9:57 p.m., a 15-year-old boy got shot in the right hand at the 6000 block of S. Marshfield while was walking on the sidewalk. The Chicago Police Department reports his good condition at Comers Hospital. There's no suspect in custody yet.
A 33-year-old man shot at 10:56 p.m., halted at a red light in the 9900 block of S. State, with a graze wound on the left shoulder. The Chicago Fire Department treated and released on the scene. Case under Area Two detectives with no apprehended suspects.
As midnight approached, a shooting promptly occurred in the 3300 block of W. 16th St. A male offender approached a 45-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman and fired at them. The man, pronounced dead on arriving at Mt. Sinai Hospital, and the woman, in good condition after treatment. No arrests so far; investigation is ongoing.
