Recent burglaries in Chicago have businesses along Lincoln Avenue on edge. Thieves have been targeting restaurants, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Today, several restaurants were burglarized or vandalized in a short period, raising concerns among residents and business owners alike, according to ABC7 Chicago.

It started at approximately 1:50 a.m., when burglars smashed through a window of Left Coast Food and Juice in the 2800-block of Lincoln Avenue. The thieves left behind a bloody scene after one of them was cut by the shattered glass. Focusing on a cash drawer, they quickly made off with their loot.

Within minutes, Cilantro Taco and Grill in the 2200-block of North Orchard Street was also hit. The criminals chose a similar method to gain entry, breaking a window with a rock before making off with a safe and another cash drawer. The distraught owner told authorities that this was the first time their business had been victim to a break-in, as per Fox 32 Chicago.

Another location came under attack soon after, with the Daily Grill in the 4500-block of North Lincoln Avenue falling victim to the rock-wielding vandals. However, in this case, nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Remarkably, all of these incidents share common threads. In each case, four male suspects were involved, and a black Kia sedan was seen fleeing the scene. Although authorities have yet to officially link these crimes, the similarities are undeniable and certainly raise eyebrows.

Chicago police are working tirelessly to investigate these seemingly connected cases. No one has been taken into custody yet, but authorities are urging local businesses and residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. As the trail of blood, shattered glass, and stolen cash drawers lingers, the North Side waits for answers and, more importantly, for justice.
