On Friday, October 13th, Lawrence Rutherford, a 42-year-old man from Worcester, was sentenced to 78 months behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release.
Mr. Rutherford received this sentence because of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. This decision was publicized by the United States Attorney's Office.
Earlier this year, in March, Mr. Rutherford pleaded guilty after authorities discovered two loaded .22 caliber pistols and around 613 rounds of ammunition in his residence in June 2019.
The sentencing was made by U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni.
