Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a high-speed chase in Lincoln, Maine, following a moose complaint investigation that spiraled out of control. The driver of the suspect vehicle nearly collided with a game warden who then alerted local police. As the warden began a pursuit, he observed the vehicle speeding away from a suspected theft incident at a pulp and tissue mill, according to WHDH.

The 55-mile chase that covered lasted 90 minutes and brought to engage multiple agencies including state police and the Aroostook County Sheriff's office. After employing tire deflation mats to reduce the fleeing vehicle's speed, a state trooper effectively used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) to terminate the chase in Haynesville. As reported by Spectrum News, the driver, 32-year-old Michael Godrin of Orient, initially attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended without additional incidents.

Godrin has been charged with eluding, passing a roadblock, reckless driving, driving after suspension, and criminal speeding. AP News reports that he was also arrested due to an active warrant for a failure to appear in court and may face additional charges from the Warden Service and Lincoln Police Department. Godrin is currently being held at Aroostook County Jail.

In addition to Godrin, two passengers in the vehicle were arrested and are facing charges of theft and criminal trespassing. One of them, 34-year-old Shane Godfrin, also from Orient, has been further charged with violating his release conditions. Both passengers have since posted bail according to WHDH.
