
On October 18, an armed robbery occurred near Botelho Drive and Locust Street in downtown Walnut Creek after 9:30 PM. The Walnut Creek Police Department is investigating the incident, with the suspects still at large. According to the victims, the crime was perpetrated by two males who confronted them returning from dinner.
As stated in the Facebook post by the Walnut Creek Police Department, one suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victims' belongings. The victims describe the suspects to quickly help identify, as two black male adults in their late teens or early twenties, both were in hooded sweatshirts and masks.
The investigation uncovered that two additional males were near a white sedan at the time. To get away, all four suspects drove the vehicle toward Broadway Plaza. Officers commenced an extensive search immediately, but they have yet to locate the suspect's vehicle.
The police department is ardent in its resolve to trace the suspects and seeks input from the public that may facilitate their investigation.
