Earlier today, a 25-year-old male faced an armed robbery in South Sangamon. The Chicago Police Department report states that upon exiting his vehicle, a black Nissan arrived, and four young men brandishing handguns emerged.
Attempting to quickly escape, the victim was hit on his head with a gun by one of the aggressors, who then forcefully took his belongings before making his escape with the other perpetrators.
Despite the trauma, the victim managed to get to a hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The investigation falls under the purview of Area Three detectives and no arrests have yet been made.
