On Wednesday, October 11, law enforcement arrested a Dorchester juvenile at 450 Washington St. in downtown Boston, in connection with a shoplifting incident and subsequent firearm discovery.
According to the Boston Police Department report, the suspect, 17, intended to shoplift a fur coat but was seized by loss prevention officers who found a Springfield Armory XD firearm in his waistband.
Charges against the suspect range from unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition to armed robbery.
