Yesterday, a typical traffic stop in Mattapan, Boston led to a significant finding when police officers discovered a loaded 9mm P80 Ghost Gun and over 100 live rounds of ammunition in a vehicle with an expired registration.
The occupant, a 19-year-old named Nyjohn Jones, was subsequently arrested.
Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force and district B-3 charged Jones on various firearm-related offenses.
The arrest was part of a larger effort by Boston law enforcement to clamp down on the city's gun violence problem, Boston Police stated.
