Weekend developments in the ongoing Rugby Road homicide investigation saw an arrest, according to the Boston Police Department. Officials reported the arrest of Marc Scutt, a 29-year-old Boston resident, in connection to the murder of 78-year-old Jean Casseus from Mattapan.
On October 19, officers were called to a stabbing incident at 18 Rugby Road, Mattapan, discovering Casseus suffering from life-threatening injuries upon their arrival. Despite prompt transport to a hospital, he was later pronounced dead.
