The Boston Police Department recently announced the arrest of 39-year-old Tony Vance from Roslindale, in connection with the homicide of 33-year-old Derrell Russell from Brighton.
This arrest occurred over a year after the incident, with support from the Boston Police Fugitive Task Force, District D-14 Drug Control Unit, and Mass State Police VFAS Unit (Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section).
As reported by the Boston Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in August 2022 at 970 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester, where Russell was found with a gunshot wound. He later died as a result of his injuries.
Through an extensive investigation by the Boston Police Department, Vance is slated for arraignment at Suffolk Superior Court for Russell's case.
