Although rigorous efforts kept a third building from catching fire Boston 25 News reports, a home on Sutton Street failed to escape damage, suffering from melted siding due to the intense heat.
The building where the fire initially ignited was fortunately vacant, but as WHDH has reported 13 residents - six adults and seven children - were forcefully displaced from their home at 56 Woodson Street.
Boston Deputy Fire Chief Brian Tully credited the fire to the rear of the building, this was located adjacent to the impacted home. The incident led to minor injuries to one firefighter, who was then promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
