
Yesterday, a man was found injured due to a gunshot wound at the crossing of River Street and Topalian Street in Boston's Mattapan district. The police discovered the victim around 5:45 p.m., who was then swiftly transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to NBC Boston.
In an unusual response, a SWAT team quickly arrived on the scene to assist the local law enforcement with the investigation, around 6 p.m., as per Boston 25 News. Despite a lack of arrests, the focus of the investigation remains on finding sustainable solutions to prevent similar happenings in the future.
As of now, no suspects have been identified. The Boston police force continued to thoroughly search the area Monday evening in hopes to quickly identify a suspect according to NBC Boston.
