On October 28, Boston Police's Youth Violence Strike Force arrested a 15-year-old male in Dorchester neighborhood for illegally possessing a firearm. The Boston Police Department reports that he now faces charges in Boston's Juvenile Court.

According to Boston Police report, Officers were responding to the area of 94 Topliff Street to assist officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) who were responding to a shot spotter activation. Officers saw two individuals matching the suspects’ description operating a moped and not wearing any safety equipment or helmets. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop.

The suspect refused to stop, and officers observed the passenger to be adjusting an unknown object in his waistband area. Officers conducted a pat frisk of both suspects, and recovered a firearm from the waistband of the 15-year-old. The firearm was later determined to be in the Ghost gun, as stated in Boston Police Department report.
