Bryan C. Mileikis, a 36-year-old resident of Bourne, pled guilty to one count of receipt and one count of possession of child pornography in a federal court in Boston, Massachusetts on October 12, the Department of Justice reports. Mileikis was first arrested in July 2020 and then indicted by a federal grand jury the following month. His sentencing is slated for February 16, 2024.
Mileikis was identified as the owner of a Kik Messenger account distributing child pornography online, which led to the seizure of an iPhone from his residence in June 2019, containing 156 images and 22 videos of child pornography.
The case was brought forth as a part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006, aiming to combat child exploitation and abuse. The program draws on federal, state, and local resources to apprehend those involved in child exploitation and to identify and rescue victims. Further details about the initiative are available on the Department of Justice website.
