This fall, Chicago's food scene is buzzing with anticipation for the opening of various new dining establishments, including Brooklyn's Other Half Brewery, Strapoli Pizzeria and All Day Cafe, Café Mas, Jook Sing, Terra e Mare, and Ramova Theatre, Brewery, and Grill.

In a partnership with Ramova Theatre, Brooklyn's Other Half Brewery is set to shakeup Chicago's culinary scene with the opening of the revamped Ramova Theatre, Brewery, and Grill. Situated at 3520 S. Halsted Street in Bridgeport, this long-awaited venue does not yet have an official opening date as per a Chicago Tribune article. The venue's food and beverage program is managed by Sarah Loberg, who will also oversee the Ramova Grill serving New York's Other Half Brewing beers.

 

 

A wait of Chicagoans for the week of October 20 will be rewarded with the opening of a brand-new Strapoli Pizzeria and All Day Cafe at 545 W. Diversey Parkway in Lakeview. To bring a unique edge to Neapolitan-style pizza, Marcial Bereciartu, the head chef and Venezuelan native, plans a cosy space for locals, according to an Eater report.

 

 

Owners of Penelope's Vegan Taqueria are set to open, Café Mas, a vegan café and coffee shop. Although the official opening date is yet to be decided, a "coming soon" announcement was made recently on the owners’ Instagram account. The café will be located in Lincoln Square at 2310 W. Foster Avenue.

In the works in West Town is an Asian night market-inspired bar and restaurant, Jook Sing, pegged to be one of fall's most highly anticipated openings. Its debut is timed with Halloween at 1328 W. Chicago Avenue.

 

 

The owners of The Press Room wine bar, are moving towards to open an upscale Italian restaurant, Terra e Mare, at an undisclosed date. Since they are currently hiring line cooks and sous chefs, their grand opening at 404 S. Wells Street in The Loop is seemingly near.

Chicago's thriving culinary scene continues to evolve with simultaneous arrival of establishments offering a diverse range of food choices, including artisanal pizzas, vegan eateries, Asian-inspired dishes, and upscale steakhouses.
