Today, the Chicago Fire Department efficiently quelled a fire at a building on 5449 W. Walton, as reported by their official Twitter. The unit's quick response and efficacy resulted in no injuries, thereby minimizing the damage to the occupants.

The department completed searches within the building, all of which returned negative results, indicating that there were no occupants present during the fire. As of yet, the cause of the fire and any related issues remain unreported, but the department continues their on-site investigations.
The incident caused the displacement of three adults and four children, though none sustained injuries.
