Today, a fire broke out in Park Manor, damaging a residential property and injuring a firefighter. The incident took place at a two-storey building at 7321 S. Champlain Avenue around 1 a.m. Chicago police officers were first to respond, as per Fox 32 Chicago.
Firefighters during a rescue found themselves in an emergency situation. One of the crew members got injured but was transported to the hospital in a stable condition, CFDMedia tweeted. The cause of the fire, which presented significant challenges for the first responders, is still undetermined.
