Shawn Turner, 34, of the 1200 block of W. Washburne Ave. in Chicago, Illinois, was arrested yesterday, at approximately 4:05 p.m. by the Chicago Police Department (CPD). He was charged for one felony count of attempted first-degree murder.

The charge follows Turner's identification as the primary suspect in a shooting incident that occurred on June 16, on the 3600 block of S. Wells St. within the 9th District, leaving a 48-year-old male injured.

After his arrest, Turner was taken into custody, and formal charges were placed against him. His detention hearing is scheduled for today.
