On Monday, October 2, 43-year-old Oscar Cruz was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.
The charges relate to an incident where Cruz allegedly assaulted and killed a 55-year-old man during a robbery attempt in the 5700 block of W. Diversey Ave, accordning to the Chicago Police Department.
The assailant was involved with a roberry where he struck a 55-year-old man muntiple times causing his death. The crime transpired in the 5700 block of W. Diversey Ave. (25th District).
