
Earlier today, a pellet gun was discharged in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood, injuring a 29-year-old man. The attack occurred near the 3300-block of West Ogden Avenue, in the vicinity of the 10th District of the Chicago Police Department where migrants are sheltered, ABC7 Chicago states.
The Chicago police launched an investigation into the incident, initially to be considered a hate crime, but it was later decided this was not the case.
After the attack, the shooting victim, was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital and is in a fair condition, as reported by ABC7 Chicago. The assailant, an unidentified male, has evaded capture.
