Chicago officials and law enforcement are intensely involved in an investigation following the discovery of a "suspicious object" near a Public Storage facility in Edgewater today. The threat prompted significant presence of local police and firefighting services in the 5600 block of North Broadway Avenue, according to Fox 32 Chicago.
Transportation was affected with Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) suspending Red Line service between Belmont and Howard in response to the incident. In an aim to minimize the transit disturbance, CTA have provided shuttle buses and are advising commuters to seek alternate routes, as reported by CBS News Chicago.
