The 9th District Strategic Decision Support Center (SDSC) monitored the area's radio traffic and identified a stolen vehicle related to the shooting. With the 11th District SDSC room's help, the officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspects, showcasing effective inter-district collaboration.
During the arrest, a 9mm handgun equipped with a laser, an extended magazine, and a device to convert the weapon into an automatic firearm was recovered. The officers also seized an assault rifle. Consequently, both individuals face charges of aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
The case's successful outcome is largely due to the collaborative work among the SDSC Room officers, Community Safety Team officers, 11th District Tactical Team, and Area One detectives.
