Chicago's 10th and 12th Districts have recently been disturbed by a series of armed robberies. The Chicago Police Department reports that the perpetrators utilize various vehicles and firearms to rob victims, sometimes resorting to violence. A firearm was even discharged at a witness who tried to intervene.
The bulk of these crimes took place on the morning of Tuesday, October 10th, from 5:50 a.m. to 6:20 a.m. at several locations, including the 2100 block of West Cullerton St, the 2100 block of South Hoyne Ave, the 1800 block of West 21st St, and the 2000 block of South California Ave.
The individuals responsible are described as three to six African American males, aged between 16 and 25, donned in dark clothing and black ski masks.
The Chicago Police Department advises residents to avoid distractions and remain vigilant to suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area. Witnesses are urged to remain on scene or provide contact details to aid investigations.
