On October 1, an arrest was made by Chicago Police from the 25th District Tactical Team and Area 5 Detective Division pertaining to a murder case in Hermosa neighborhood. The incident that led the arrest occured when the suspect allegedly shot and killed a 23-year-old male and critically injured a 21-year-old male. The offender was found an hour later and charged with the crime.
