Yesterday, a shooting occurred in Chicago, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old male and serious injury to a 21-year-old male.
The incident transpired on the 4300 block of W. Armitage. Charged with the shooting is Ivan Peralta, a 21-year-old from Northlake, Illinois, who faces one felony count of first-degree murder and one felony count of attempted first-degree murder, as stated by the Chicago Police Department.
According to reports, Peralta was arrested approximately one hour post-shooting yesterday, October 1.
A detention hearing is set for October 3rd at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California, according the Chicago Police Department statement.
