Earlier this week, a shooting on Young St in Worcester, Massachusetts, left a 19-year-old woman injured. The incident occurred at a large party. Law enforcement apprehended a Connecticut man, Juan Carlos Hernandez Villegas, within hours of the shooting. He faces multiple charges in connection with the crime per the police report.
On the night of the incident, at approximately 9:25 PM, the officers arrived at scene. Comprised of a large crowd surrounding the injured woman. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was immediately moved to a healthcare facility. Based on their findings, Worcester Police suggest an altercation including multiple females prompted Villegas to discharge his firearm, ultimately wounding the young woman.
Caught at the crime scene was Villegas, a Danielson, Connecticut inhabitant. He was instantly arrested after police found a loaded gun with him. In addition, Villegas didn't possess a Massachusetts license to carry the firearm, leading to a multitude of charges against him. Charges include Armed Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery by a Firearm, Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and additional serious charges.
