Dave's Hot Chicken's origin traces back to a humble venue in an East Hollywood parking lot back in 2017. High school friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, Tommy, and Gary Rubenyan initiated the venture with their $900 fryer. Despite its modest beginnings, the brand quickly ascended in popularity, securing music artist Drake as a significant investor in 2021. Presently, the brand proudly boasts over 100 franchises across four countries as reported by MassLive.
The upcoming Braintree location, situated at 30 Forbes Blvd, aims to satisfy a variety of palates with its Nashville-style hot chicken dishes available in seven varying spice levels, aptly named from No Spice to "The Reaper" according to Patch. Operating hours from Sunday to Thursday will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., extending to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, catering to the local food buffs throughout the week.
Prior expansions for Dave’s Hot Chicken in Massachusetts encompass outposts in Boston, Chelmsford, Framingham, Newton, and Woburn, the latter being inaugurated just a month ago.
