Yesterday, Kevin Dial, a 52-year-old Decatur, Illinois resident, was found guilty of various crimes including sexual exploitation of a minor, and receiving and possessing child pornography. Dial directed another individual, revealed by the case's evidence, to sexually abuse and video record the abuse of three minors aged below 11.
Sentencing is set for February 26, 2024, before U.S District Judge Colin S. Bruce in Urbana, Illinois, according to the United States Department of Justice.
Dial potentially faces 15 to 30 years in prison for each sexual exploitation count and to up 20 years for receiving and possessing child pornography. The district judge could order the sentences to be served consecutively.
