Disneyland's Paradise Pier Hotel is set to become the country's first completely Pixar-themed hotel, Pixar Place Hotel. The hotel is scheduled for unveiling on January 30, 2024, and is designed to highlight vibrant Pixar stories with a mix of initial design sketches and finished artwork, inclusive of some unrevealed pieces, as reported in Disney's news release, according to an NBC Los Angeles article.
Along with this change, new culinary delights will be introduced through the addition of Great Maple restaurant to the Orange County theme park in November. To cater every palate, the restaurant is said to offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The broad variety of meals is supposed to include distinctively dishes like soda pop-braised baby back ribs, maple pecan-crusted salmon, uniquely curated salads, and a classic combination of buttermilk fried chicken with maple bacon doughnuts.
In preparation for the transition, visitors to the Paradise Pier Hotel are experiencing a teaser of the upcoming changes. For instance, a "Finding Nemo" based pool area is currently available for use, also a gift shop rebranding has reportedly taken inspiration from Pixar's film "WALL-E." The newly-christened STOR-E, retailing Pixar-themed merchandise including clothing, toys and keepsakes.
Despite the ongoing transformation, the Paradise Pier Hotel continues to receive guests. A KTLA article shared glimpses of the future Pixar-themed guest rooms featuring décor reminiscent of iconic films like "The Incredibles" and "Toy Story 3."
As to the dining facilities, an upcoming addition will be the Sketch Pad Café, a convenient grab-and-go coffee shop, and Small Bytes, a rooftop pool bar. Both venues are set to open their doors post the debut of the Great Maple restaurant in November.
Additionally, a range of enhanced amenities for guests will include a "Finding Nemo"-inspired water play area, a family play court, a new and larger fitness center, and a relocated gift shop in the lobby, as reported by KTLA.
