After an arrest by the Youth Violence Strike Force in Dorchester, two firearms were confiscated.
Nashawn Pettaway, 23, and Isaiah Miller, 21, were detained on firearm-related charges after an initial halt for a warrant placed on Pettaway for removing his ankle monitor.
Prompt action from the officers led to the recovery of a Glock fitted with a machine gun-conversion device and a non-serialized "ghost gun," thereby raising public safety issues concerning firearm accessibility.
The Boston Police Department states that the two suspects are due to appear at Dorchester District Court.
