
Yesterday, October 12, the Youth Violence Task Force, with aid from District B-3 (Mattapan) police, arrested Jamison Gaston, 27, from Dorchester for multiple traffic violations. The charges include speeding and failing to stop for a pedestrian, as stated in the Boston Police report.
Police noticed a suspicious bulge in Gaston's hoodie, appearing similar to a firearm. Additional units arrived at the scene and after a confrontation where Gaston initially resisted the police's exit order, he was successfully apprehended, as per the Boston Police report.
Officers found a .45 caliber Glock 30 on Gaston, with 13 live rounds in its magazine and one in the chamber.
Gaston has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and large capacity feeding device, along with a third offense of unlawful firearm possession. His arraignment will be conducted at Dorchester District Court, adding another name to the list of individuals caught for unlawful possession of firearms in Dorchester.
