
A fatal shooting occurred on Chicago's South Side yesterday, October 26. The incident took place in the Englewood neighborhood, where an unidentified male was shot multiple times on the 1200 block of West 59th Street around 3 p.m. Immediately taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, the victim eventually succumbed to his injuries, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Fox 32 Chicago initially reported that the victim, referred to as 'John Doe,' was beaten to death. However, it was later discovered he was the victim of a shooting.
So far, no arrests have been made in this case and the investigation is ongoing. The Cook County medical examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide.
