On October 10, there were four shooting incidents in Chicago, resulting in four wounded victims. One victim is critically injured. Investigations into these occurrences are currently underway.
The first incident, which took place in the 12600 block of S. Lowe, involved a 46-year-old female who was inside a residence. At around 2:32 p.m., an unidentified assailant shot her in the right leg and abdomen. She has been admitted to Christ Hospital in critical condition. The investigation is being conducted by the Area Two Detectives.
The second incident occurred in the 3900 block of N Tripp where an unknown attacker shot a 69-year-old male in the stomach. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the event happened inside an apartment building lobby at approximately 3:07 p.m. The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, and is in fair condition. This case is under investigation by Area Five Detectives.
Further on, a 24-year-old male victim was shot in his left leg in the 7900 block of S. Halsted at around 5:36 p.m. When he was standing on the sidewalk, an assailant fired at him. The man has been admitted to the University of Chicago Hospital and is listed to be in good condition, with Area Two Detectives handling the investigation.
Last of all, in the 10100 block of S. Winston, an unknown individual shot a 54-year-old male in the foot. As per report by the CPD, the attack occurred at approximately 6:51 p.m. when the victim was standing on the sidewalk. He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital and is in good health. This case is also being investigated by Area Two Detectives.
