Over the weekend, a three-alarm fire in Framingham displaced 40 residents and injured four firefighters, who were quickly taken to a local hospital, as per Boston.com report. The fire occurred at an apartment complex on 1630 Worcester Road. Firefighters' efforts limited the flames, but many of the units are now uninhabitable.
A pregnant woman was among the victims. While specifics about her condition are not clear, most of the displaced residents returned to their apartments on Sunday, according to Boston25 News reports. The injured firefighters received treatment for minor injuries. Three of them were discharged from the hospital by Sunday afternoon, as per a Boston.com report.
Framingham city leaders have recognized the incident on social media, and are working with the American Red Cross to find temporary housing for those displaced. The apartment complex management company is also offering assistance with the Red Cross, according to Boston25 News.
