Yesterday, a dispute in South Manistee escalated to gun violence, leaving a 36-year-old man critically wounded.
The Chicago Police Department reports that a woman brandished a firearm during the altercation and shot the man in the chest. She then fled the scene.
The injured man was rushed to Trinity hospital, while local authorities commenced a criminal investigation.
The woman is not in custody and Area Two detectives are investigating.
