On October 8th, Lawrence experienced a horrific incident resulting in the death of Nathan Mucci. Found bleeding on a Chandler Street sidewalk, the circumstances of his death left a throbbing question mark in the community. In the subsequent investigation, Kristopher Graciale was arrested and charged with murder in relation to the event, as reported by Boston 25 News.
Graciale, a 36-year-old Haverhill resident, was arrested in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. At his Lawrence District Court arraignment on Friday, he pleaded not guilty. The investigation linking Graciale to Mucci was coordinated between Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker and Lawrence Acting Police Chief Michael McCarthy, although the specifics of how the connection was established, remains under wraps.
Despite currently facing a murder charge and being held without bail, Graciale remains innocent until proven guilty, in adherence with due process of the law.
Graciale's pretrial conference is scheduled for November 21st, according to another report by NBC Boston.
