In Holyoke, Massachusetts, gunfire claimed the life of an infant and critically wounded the baby's mother earlier this month on October 4. Law enforcement officials have made progress in the ongoing investigation, leading to the arrest of two additional suspects, José Galarza and Jay Marie Rosado-Rosario. Both are believed to have played a part in the shooting, according to Boston 25 News.
Galarza, 31, and Rosado-Rosario, 29, from Holyoke, face charges as accessories related to the shooting incident on Sargeant Street. The Hampden District Attorney’s Office reports that the suspects allegedly aided Kermith Alvarez in evading authorities after the shooting, as per the information by Western Mass News. Alvarez, however, remains at large and is still posing a danger to society.
While law enforcement is committed to capturing Alvarez, Galarza and Rosado-Rosario face trial for their alleged roles in the crime, according to Boston 25 News.
